Tank Scooters

If you are tired of the Japananese and Chinese scooters, like the Honda and the Yamaha, as well as of the European scooters, like the Vespa and the Peugeot, then maybe it’s time you try an all American scooter. Enter the Tank.

Tank scooters are produced in the United States. Their headquarter is located in California. Although not as famous as other names, they are one of the few American companies dedicated only to the production of scooters.

Tank scooters come in three types of engine displacement, 50, 150, and 250 cc.

On the powerful end of the spectrum, there is the Touring 250DE-08, which is the only one of the Tank scooters with an engine displacement of 250 cc. This scooter has 19 HP, which should be more than enough for your needs. It also has the peculiarity that you can’t see the rear shock, which is hidden from view.

On the opposite side, there are two Tank scooters which run with an engine displacement of 50 cc. The Urban 50 and the Sporty 50.

The Urban 50 is one of their oldest Tank scooter models, being conveniently cheap and with enough power for basic use. It has 2 HP and it can reach speeds of up to 50 miles per hour. Its cousin, the Sporty 50, is just a bit more potent, with a more sporty style. Both models come in yellow, red, blue and black. In addition, the Urban 50 also comes in green.

For those of you who are looking for a middle ground that compromises price and power, there are four models of Tank scooters with an engine displacement of 150 cc that fill your needs: the Sporty 150, which is basically a pumped up version of the Sporty 50, the Touring 150 Deluxe, which features an extended seat and built in speakers and radio under the seat, and the Racer TR-16-08 and the Racer DS-08, both of which have a power of 9 HP and reach 55 miles per hour in no time.

So, next time you hear “buy American,” make it more than some wishful thinking, or some phrase that politicians throw around in an effort to get more votes. Make it a reality. Buy Tank scooters and support your country, and keep your hard earned dollars in America, instead of sending them to Japan, or Europe. Also, by buying Tank scooters, you’re helping jobs stay in your country as well.
