Electric Scooters

Scooters Yamaha

I live in Chicago, but I work in Schaumburg. Needless to say, it used to be a pain to get to work and back. It took me two hours on the way to work, and two on the way back. On bad days, well, I might as well have studied a second language in the car.

In addition, parking was a pain. Sometimes, I would arrive early at Schaumburg, but it took me so long to find a parking space that I would still arrive late at work.

In addition, when the prices of gas rose, it became more and more expensive just to get to work. I was concerned and I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t want to ask for a raise because although the recession hadn’t been called officially like that, we had already started to feel their effects and I was afraid I would lose my job (I actually did, a year later).

There was another guy in the company that lived in downtown Chicago. However, unlike me, he seemed to arrive always early in a good mood. I wondered if he just woke up earlier and avoided the worst of traffic, which I tried for a week. It didn’t work. I had a teen daughter to take care of, and I ended up exhausted at night, and getting up earlier just made me grouchier.

It did help me discover his secret. He had a motorcycle. No wonder traffic didn’t bother him as much. He just sneaked between cars. He probably woke up later than I did, and he just left his bike in the warehouse.

I spoke about it with my best friend. He told me I should get a scooter instead, and he recommended scooters Yamaha (He’s a recently arrived Mexican, so his English isn’t very good yet)

“Scooters Yamaha are better for the price, that’s my first reason to recommend them. Second, scooters Yamaha save more gas than motorcycles and cars, which is yet another advantage, specially in this economy. Also, while being cheap, scooters Yamaha have a great quality, and it’s very easy to get spare parts and repairs. Finally, scooters Yamaha let you ride them in a sitting position, and maybe even wear a dress.”

I thanked my friend, and decided to call an agent of these “scooters Yamaha” and see what they were all about. It turned to be all true. The one thing that my friend hadn’t told me about these “scooters Yamaha,” is that they look great. I kind of expected to see some small uncomfortable Japanese vehicle, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a very nice looking, comfortable one.

I lost my job a year after that, but in the meantime, my Yamaha scooter was very practical and useful. Now, when people ask me about a good scooter, I always recommend “scooters Yamaha,” although I don’t tell them why.
