Electric Scooters

Rascal Scooters

For the people that have had their mobility reduced due to old age, illness, or accident, rascal scooters are really life changers. The help these people, by letting them move around by themselves, and even carry small loads with them, which is priceless to them. It really raises the quality of life of the elderly, the disabled and the injured. In addition, it gives them a sense of freedom and independence that they felt they lost years ago.

Although there are some gas powered rascal scooters, most of them are electrical, so they can be easily re-charged at home, and they don’t pollute the environment. This is yet another nice feature of rascal scooters.

Rascal scooters have several advantages over conventional wheelchairs. Perhaps the most important is that it allows people who’ve lost their arms’ strength to move around, much like they would if they were able to push their own wheelchair. In addition, a lot of them feature a small net or basket, which allows the disabled person or his or her guardian to carry a small load with them, for example, a walking stick or crutches, or first aid equipment. Of course, it can also be used for simple and mundane things, like groceries, or baggage.

Some of the advantages of rascal scooters are psychological. Going from a conventional wheelchair to a motorized rascal scooter can really cheer up a person, specially a child. It really gives them a more upbeat feeling, like a big shiny toy. Their faces are really priceless.

I wish insurance companies would feel the same. Unfortunately, most, if not all, insurance companies don’t cover the expenses of rascal scooters in their policies. It is disappointing to say the least, when they claim their business is helping sick people and then denying them something so life changing.

Unfortunately, there are also people with prejudices or with narrow minds that don’t understand the importance or the idea of rascal scooters. The worst of all are the ones who make fun of people who use rascal scooters in supermarkets and public places. They claim that people who use them are lazy and overweight, and that it’s their own fault that they need the scooter. Others claim that disable people don’t need rascal scooters at all. It’s clear that the people who say such mean things have never been in contact with a disabled person; otherwise they wouldn’t say such mean things.

In the end, rascal scooters aren’t just any type of scooter. They’re life changers.
