M14 Rifle

The m14 rifle is one of the most famous military issue weapons to date. While it has been decommissioned for use as the standard issue rifle in the military, in exchange for the M16, the M14 rifle has a home as the ornamental rifle used in ceremonies, such as gun salutes and holidays, as well as a rifle still used in front line combat in the Army, Navy and Air Force.

Because of its heavy use in the military, the M14 rifle is typically limited for military use. As the weapon is designed for high powered use, the guns are registered and controlled.

The most common use of the M14 rifle by civilians is in Airsoft games. These are replication guns that look like the M14, and have similar functionality to the M14, but have a great deal less power and use non-metallic pellets instead of bullets. This renders the M14 rifle replica as virtually harmless, and safe to use in reenactments and capture the flag games.

When you are considering Airsoft rifles to purchase, the M14 should only be considered if you are planning on participating in reenactments that take place after WW2. The M14 rifle was not in use during WW2, so it would not be considered a legitimate weapon for these reenactments. The M14 Rifle has a higher level of accuracy in comparison to the rifles typically used in WW2. As well, they held more rounds, and had firing speeds that far surpassed these weapons.

As the M14 rifle is typically reserved for military use, it is possible for collectors to acquire these weapons. However, in order to possess one of these rifles, special permits and handling are required. In many cases, the guns held by collectors must be stored in specific methods so that the gun cannot be easily fired. For military use, the M14 rifle is used by at least 28 different nations, some of which include the United States, Argentina, China, Vietnam, Iceland and Israel.

In military use, the M14 rifle has a wide variety of accessories available for it. These accessories include bayonet, M2 bandolier, sling, winter trigger and safety kits, blank firing attachments and breecher shield, cartridge clips, bipods, grenade launcher attachments, sights and scopes. The m14 rifle can be adapted for use as a sniper rifle with the addition of a telescopic lens.

M14 rifle replicas may be acquired through specialized Airsoft vendors.
